Zeishan Quadri

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is editing Zeishan Quadri’s Meeruthiya Gangster. Zeishan is the writer of Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) series.
Zeishan, who scripted both the films and acted in the second one, is going to make his directorial debut soon with Meeruthiya Gangster. And Anurag has decided to edit the film himself.

A source reveals, “When Anurag heard about Zeishan’s Meeruthiya Gangster, he made a quick phone call to him and told him he wanted to watch it.”

Anurag, who got to know about Meeruthiya Gangster through a common friend, loved the concept, but felt it needed some cuts.

When asked Zeishan about this, he says, “Anurag sir is my inspiration for getting into direction. I wanted to show him my film once it was ready. In any case, it would have never gone for release without his approval.”

Prateek Group in association with Friday to Friday Films & Entertainers presents ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters,’ written and directed by Zeishan Quadri (award winning writer of Gangs of Wasseypur), produced by Prashant Tiwari, Prateek Tiwari and Shoeb Ahmed.
