Sonam Kapoor, who made an appearance at the Filmfare Style and Glamour Awards on February 26, flew back to Rajkot the next morning to shoot for Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. She was running a high fever and two days later tested positive for swine flu. After a brief stay at Rajkot’s Sterling Hospital, the actress flew down to Mumbai. A second test at Kokilaben Hospital also tested positive, and Sonam is now on sick leave. But the show goes on at Gondal Palace, 40 kilometres south of Rajkot. “After Sonam left, the entire unit was tested. We’re waiting for the results and have been told to wear protective masks,” informs a source.
Leading man, Salman Khan, has been taking every precaution and following the orders of the Maharani of Gondal, Kumud Kumari, whose home and gardens they’re shooting in. “The royals have a homemade remedy for the virus which involves sniffing a mixture of camphor and cardamom. Ayurvedic drinks and homeopathic pills are being served on the sets,” added the source.
